PCGS ranked 21 of the 25 best American coins sold in 2019
Professional Coin Grading Service (www.PCGS.com) closed the books of 2019 by proudly announcing that 20 of the top 25 most expensive US coins sold at public auction last year were PCGS slabs.
That number jumps to 21 when you count a rarity certified by a competing grading service, made close to $ 4 million, and then almost immediately after the exchange of hands, it transferred to a PCGS holder.

The sales data below has been compiled from the top seven auction companies including Heritage Auctions, Stack’s Bowers Galleries, Legend Rare Coin Auctions, GreatCollections, Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Sotheby’s and Bonhams.
